PROVIDENCE PLACE

Washington, DC

Landscape design and site planning for a redevelopment affordable multi-family community.  The work included Consolidate PUD application and Stage 1 application.  The landscape takes advantage of the required stormwater management devices and turned them into richly planted site amenities.  There are lushly planted stromwater planters following street grade to separate the building and the public space.  There are courtyards in the midsection both in front and at the rear of the housing block.  Rooftop terrace offers view to the City.  The heritage tree on site was moved for preservation and also amenity focal purpose.  The main building entrance with a generous patio faces the street corner landscape area that serves as stormwater feature.
