Wheaton, MD

Landscape design for redevelopment of the main entrance to the Gardens and reconfiguration of arrival sequence as well as high demand parking area at the Garden’s Visitor Center.  The design focused on the entire order of approach for this public garden and its visitor experience.  Design elements include entry announcement/art, gatehouse, entry display gardens, various nodes in the garden, improved pedestrian entrance with boardwalks and overlooks in the display areas, parking area planting with demonstration rain garden, front entry plazas to the Visitor Center, and series of water features that demonstrate stormwater treatment techniques.
