FINANCIAL DISTRICT STREETSCAPE IMPROVEMENT AND DESIGN GUIDELINES

Baltimore, MD

The project included preparation of design guidelines for future improvement of the physical environments of the entire downtown area and the actual phased design for the downtown streets.  The goal was to provide linkage and better streetscape in order to give downtown a new image and thus improve business and street lives.  With the vocabulary of carefully selected elements such as paving, planting, lighting, street furniture and signage, the Guidelines created urban identities and street articulation.
