Along with urgent need to update the buildings of School of Nursing, it became apparent to the Board that the only open space for graduation ceremony in front of the main building was also in need of planning.  The design strengthens indoor-outdoor relationship.  It preserved the open space for all school functions; yet provides niche interests for alcoves and sitting areas.
