NATIONAL BIRD GARDEN

Washington, DC

A 23 acre educational garden in the National Arboretum.  Visitors circulate through a series of environments devoted to various aspects of the relationship between birds and humans.  Among the exhibits are a garden to observe birds quietly, a garden to listen for them with no other distraction and a number of gardens demonstrating how to welcome them into human habitat.  The garden is yet to be completed.
